My Itinerary
A slow Shenandoah cabin weekend.
Cabin time, a winery dinner, a small-town breakfast, one beautiful hike and plenty of unplanned time outside.
Breakfast and coffee at Maybelle's on Main in Stanardsville. Drive about 20 minutes to Graves Mill Trail for a hike, then about 17 minutes to Yoder's Country Market and its petting zoo. Return to the cabin for the fire pit, s'mores, quiet and stargazing.
Keep the morning slow, enjoy the cabin and surroundings one last time, then take advantage of a late checkout.
The Stay

Small footprint, big reset. The cabin's warm wood interior and oversized picture window made the woods feel like part of the room. It was the kind of stay that encouraged coffee slowly, phones away and nowhere urgent to be.

The Hike

We drove about 20 minutes from Stanardsville for a creekside hike before making our way to Yoder's Country Market. It was exactly the kind of simple outdoor stop that fit the pace of the weekend.

A polished change of pace from the cabin: a tasting flight, warm interiors and an easy excuse to dress up a little.
